Ernest Brewer

Ernest Brewer, MS, PT

Originally from South Texas, Ernest graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University and was student athletic trainer for the Lumberjacks. He then earned his Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from Texas Women's University. He has enjoyed working in a wide array of settings including home health, acute care, rehab and nursing home, but specializes in sports injuries and has extensive expertise in rehabilitation techniques for return to active sports participation. As an athletic trainer and physical therapist, he has over 27 years of experience working with high school, college and professional athletes and teams, including rodeo and ballet. He and his wife Debi have 3 boys and 2 grandkids who love their PopPop. The best times in life are spent with the boys RC racing, ATV riding or just "geeking out."


Kari Bingham

Kari Bingham, PTA

Kari is originally from Hazard, Kentucky and graduated from Perry County Central High School. She has earned an Associates of the Arts Degree as well as an Associate in Applied Science in Physical Therapy from Hazard Community and Technical College. She was peer elected class President of the Regional Physical Therapy Assistant Program for the 2017 graduating class. She has clinical experience in outpatient rehabilitation, inpatient rehabilitation, and home health settings. She has a desire to provide the highest standard of care to all patients. In her free time, Kari enjoys spending time with her daughter and family.

Cecile King

Cecile Smith, Office Manager

Cecile Smith is originally from Clay County, and is a graduate from Hazard Community and Technical College with Associates degrees in Science and Applied Science. She acquired her X-ray technologist license through the UK Center for Rural Health. She loves basketball, horses and her dogs. She and her husband Mitch have a beautiful girl named Ramsey.

Ashleigh is originally from Prestonsburg, Kentucky and graduated from Prestonsburg High School. She earned an associate degree in Science as well as an Associate Degree in Applied Science from KCTCS. Ashleigh has developed a strong background with understanding patient payer guidelines, as well as coding and billing which simplifies and streamlines the patient experience. She has experience in outpatient, acute care, rehabilitation centers, and managing physician office clerical staff. Ashleigh takes pride in assisting patients through the initial phase of their rehab experience and strives to ensure all patients get the therapy they need by being the intermediary between the patient and the insurer. In her free time, Ashleigh enjoys being outside and spending time with her 2 young sons.

Rick Allen O'Bryan

Rick Allen O'Bryan, II, MS, PT, CCCE

Rick is originally from Johnson County, Kentucky and earned his Physical Therapy degree from the University of Kentucky. His clinical interests are orthopedic and sports related rehabilitation along with skilled manual therapy. He has gained experience in the following settings: outpatient, inpatient, home health, rehab, and skilled nursing. Rick enjoys coaching several sports teams in the community. In his free time, Rick enjoys playing golf, basketball, and running, as well as spending time with his daughter Lexi and his son Trey.

Office Manager

Jenny is originally from Salyersville, KY. She has been with HPT Physical Therapy since May of 2017. She recently achieved her Certified Professional Coder Certification and will graduate in May of 2020 from BSCTC with her degree in business management. In her spare time, Jenny enjoys camping, cooking and reading. She also loves spending time with her family.

Office Manager

Tracy Hannah is originally from West Liberty, Ky and graduated from Morgan County High School. She has eleven years working in the medical office setting and has been with HPT Physical Therapy for over four years. Tracy is a wife and mother of three beautiful daughters. In her free time, Tracy enjoys watching her two oldest daughters play high school basketball and softball at Paintsville Independent, and loves attending church at Staffordsville FWB.

Kelly Lawson

Kelly Lawson, PTA

Kelly is originally from Tomahawk, Kentucky and is a graduate of Sheldon Clark High School. She earned her Associates Degree in Applied Physical Therapy from Hazard Community and Technical College in 2005. During her time in the PTA program, she earned the Clinical Excellence Award for Outstanding Performance. Since 2005, Kelly has worked in a variety of health care settings including home health, acute care, long term care, and outpatient rehabilitation. Her clinical interests are primarily outpatient orthopedics. In her spare time, she enjoys weight training, running, playing basketball and softball, and spending time with her husband and two children.

Samantha King

Samantha King, PTA

Samantha is originally from Kite, Kentucky and graduated from Knott Central High School. She went on to earn her Associates in Applied Science in Physical Therapy from Hazard Community College.

Her clinical interests include Home Health rehab as well as providing Physical Therapy services in the Acute Care setting. She has clinical experience in acute care, outpatient rehab, home health, and in an Orthopedic Physician office. She places great emphasis on patient satisfaction and providing compassionate care to her patients.

In her spare time, Samantha enjoys camping, fishing and enjoying the outdoors Kentucky has to offer.

Kelsey is from Prestonsburg, Kentucky and is a graduate of Allen Central High School. She earned her Associates in Science at BSCTC and went on to attain her Associates in Applied Science in Physical Therapy at Hazard Community and Technical College. She has clinical experience in outpatient rehabilitation, acute care, and home health settings. Her main clinical interests are orthopedic rehabilitation and the geriatric population.

In her free time, Kelsey enjoys spending time with her fiancé riding his motorcycle and watching the Pittsburg Steelers. She also enjoys traveling and playing with her dog.

She earned her Associates in Science Degree and also her Associates in Applied Science in Physical Therapy from Southeast Community College. While in the PTA program, Ashley was awarded the Outstanding Clinical Performance of her class. She has clinical experience in outpatient rehabilitation, acute care, home health and skilled nursing settings.

In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her family.

Nathan Bricken, PT

Nathan Bricken, PT

Nathan is originally from Oldham County, Kentucky and graduated from the University of Kentucky. Earlier in his career, Nathan had the opportunity to work in many therapy locations and specialties as a traveling therapist. Today, Nathan provides physical therapy in all of our Clinics covering vacation and overflow, and is a regular provider at our Pikeville Clinic. He also does consultant work to assist other outpatient therapy clinics outside our region with practice and process management.

He and his wife Lori have three children and are actively involved in Ridgepoint Church (www.ridgepoint.net). Nathan is a board member of Unending Grace Outreach Ministries (www.ugom.org) and is a board member of Kentucky Association of Wellness Professions (www.kawp.net).

Michelle Mobley

Michelle Mobley, MS, ATC

Michelle is originally from Louisville, Kentucky. She received her Bachelor’s in Science in Athletic Training from Eastern Kentucky University. While attending EKU, Michelle worked with EKU Football, EKU Baseball, and several high schools in the Lexington Area. She then went on to attend the University of Cincinnati where she graduated with a Master’s of Science in Health Promotion and Education. While at UC, she worked as a Graduate Assistant with Cincinnati women’s lacrosse, football, and basketball teams. Before coming to Eastern Kentucky, Michelle worked at the Toyota Plant in Georgetown, Kentucky for 4 years. There, she was responsible for workplace safety and used her skills in ergonomics and injury management to help reduce workplace injuries and lost time. Michelle is now pursuing her Doctorate in Educational Leadership at the University of the Cumberlands. Michelle has a passion for helping athletes and teaching people how to be healthier and safer during their daily activities. In her spare time, Michelle likes to spend time with her husband, and they enjoy traveling.

Anna is originally from Stanville, Kentucky and graduated from Betsy Layne High School. She earned an associate degree in applied science from KCTCS. She has worked in the physical therapy field for nine years, first as a physical therapy tech, and for the last several years as office manager of the Pikeville office. She has a full scope understanding of patient care, both the physical aspect as well as helping patients through the initial phase of their rehab experience. Anna strives to ensure all patients get the therapy they need by being the intermediary between the patient and insurer, and also helping with their rehab care when needed. In her free time, Anna enjoys spending time with her family.

Brad Stevens

Brad Stevens, PTA

Brad is from Harold, Kentucky and is a graduate of Betsey Layne High School. He received his Associates in Applied Science from Hazard Community and Technical College. He has clinical experience in outpatient settings, skilled nursing settings, and acute care. His main clinical interest is in orthopedics and the skilled nursing setting. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, attending concerts and doing outdoor recreational activities.

John Little

John Little, DPT

Dr. Little is from East Point, Kentucky and is a graduate of Johnson Central High School. He received his Bachelors in Exercise Science at Morehead State University, and went on to pursue a Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Wheeling Jesuit University. John has experience in outpatient settings, acute settings, skilled nursing facilities, as well as home health care. His clinical interests are sports and orthopedic rehabilitation. In his free time, John enjoys cheering for the 6 time Super Bowl Champion Pittsburg Steelers, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his family and fiancé.

Bunnie is originally from Delbarton, WV, but has lived in Kentucky since 1980. She started out her career as a nurse aid, medication aid and LPN. She began working for HPT Physical Therapy in April of 2011. She enjoys working in the Prestonsburg clinic serving her community. When she isn't working, she enjoys going to church and spending time with her 3 daughters, son in laws, and 2 grandchildren. Bunnie also enjoys doing mission work with her church.

Courtney is originally from Salyersville, KY and has lived in Floyd Country since 2018. She received her State Registered Nurse Aid License from BSCTC. Courtney has been with HPT Physical Therapy since April 2018. In her spare time, Courtney loves to spend time with her daughter Eliana. She also enjoys riding, camping, and spending time with her family.

Tiffany is originally from Prestonsburg, KY. She earned her Associate in Arts degree from BSCTC and later went on to get her Associate in Applied Science degree from HCTC in 2017. She was secretary of her class and also received the outstanding academic achievement award upon her graduation. She has experience in skilled nursing, acute care, home health and outpatient settings. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her son, Tyson and traveling.

Her clinical interests include orthopedics, pediatrics, and geriatrics. In her free time, Kristy enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She also enjoys traveling, ballet/lyrical dancing, and spending time outdoors with her animals.

Linda Scott

Linda Scott, PT Tech

Linda is originally from Harts, West Virginia. She moved to Kentucky in 1981 and has been a Physical Therapy technician since 1985. She has been with the HPT Physical Therapy since 2011. With over 30 years in the field, Linda has been a valuable part of hundreds of patient's outpatient physical therapy experience. Her clinical interests are mainly with pediatrics and she loves getting to witness miracles every day and helping people improve their quality of life. Linda loves staying busy on her time off work and gives all the praise and glory to God for allowing her to find the perfect field where she can be a positive impact on people's lives.
