Rick Allen O'Bryan

Rick Allen O'Bryan, II, MS, PT, CCCE

Rick is originally from Johnson County, Kentucky and earned his Physical Therapy degree from the University of Kentucky. His clinical interests are orthopedic and sports related rehabilitation along with skilled manual therapy. He has gained experience in the following settings: outpatient, inpatient, home health, rehab, and skilled nursing. Rick enjoys coaching several sports teams in the community. In his free time, Rick enjoys playing golf, basketball, and running, as well as spending time with his daughter Lexi and his son Trey.


Samantha King

Samantha King, PTA

Samantha is originally from Kite, Kentucky and graduated from Knott Central High School. She went on to earn her Associates in Applied Science in Physical Therapy from Hazard Community College.

Her clinical interests include Home Health rehab as well as providing Physical Therapy services in the Acute Care setting. She has clinical experience in acute care, outpatient rehab, home health, and in an Orthopedic Physician office. She places great emphasis on patient satisfaction and providing compassionate care to her patients.

In her spare time, Samantha enjoys camping, fishing and enjoying the outdoors Kentucky has to offer.

Ashleigh is originally from Prestonsburg, Kentucky and graduated from Prestonsburg High School. She earned an associate degree in Science as well as an Associate Degree in Applied Science from KCTCS. Ashleigh has developed a strong background with understanding patient payer guidelines, as well as coding and billing which simplifies and streamlines the patient experience. She has experience in outpatient, acute care, rehabilitation centers, and managing physician office clerical staff. Ashleigh takes pride in assisting patients through the initial phase of their rehab experience and strives to ensure all patients get the therapy they need by being the intermediary between the patient and the insurer. In her free time, Ashleigh enjoys being outside and spending time with her 2 young sons.

Nathan Bricken, PT

Nathan Bricken, PT

Nathan is originally from Oldham County, Kentucky and graduated from the University of Kentucky. Earlier in his career, Nathan had the opportunity to work in many therapy locations and specialties as a traveling therapist. Today, Nathan is the primary provider at our Prestonsburg/Archer location. He also does consultant work to assist other outpatient therapy clinics outside our region with practice and process management.

He and his wife Lori have three children and are actively involved in Ridgepoint Church (www.ridgepoint.net). Nathan is a board member of Unending Grace Outreach Ministries (www.ugom.org) and is a board member of Kentucky Association of Wellness Professions (www.kawp.net).


Ernest Brewer

Ernest Brewer, MS, PT

Originally from South Texas, Ernest graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University and was student athletic trainer for the Lumberjacks. He then earned his Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from Texas Women's University. He has enjoyed working in a wide array of settings including home health, acute care, rehab and nursing home, but specializes in sports injuries and has extensive expertise in rehabilitation techniques for return to active sports participation. As an athletic trainer and physical therapist, he has over 27 years of experience working with high school, college and professional athletes and teams, including rodeo and ballet. He and his wife Debi have 3 boys and 2 grandkids who love their PopPop. The best times in life are spent with the boys RC racing, ATV riding or just "geeking out."

Stephanie Holcomb

Stefani Holcomb, PTA

Stefani is originally from Hazard, Kentucky, She received her Associates in Applied Science from Hazard Community and Technical College. She has clinical experience in outpatient, home health and adult care settings. Her professional goal while working is to give patients top priority care through their rehabilitation experience. In her spare time she enjoys spending time on the lake fishing with her husband. She also enjoys the outdoors, ATV riding and spending time with her family and pets.

Bunnie is originally from Delbarton, WV, but has lived in Kentucky since 1980. She started out her career as a nurse aid, medication aid and LPN. She began working for HPT Physical Therapy in April of 2011. She enjoys working in the Prestonsburg clinic serving her community. When she isn't working, she enjoys going to church and spending time with her 3 daughters, son in laws, and 2 grandchildren. Bunnie also enjoys doing mission work with her church.

Courtney is originally from Salyersville, KY and has lived in Floyd Country since 2018. She received her State Registered Nurse Aid License from BSCTC. Courtney has been with HPT Physical Therapy since April 2018. In her spare time, Courtney loves to spend time with her daughter Eliana. She also enjoys riding, camping, and spending time with her family.

Kelly Lawson

Kelly Lawson, PTA

Kelly is originally from Tomahawk, Kentucky and is a graduate of Sheldon Clark High School. She earned her Associates Degree in Applied Physical Therapy from Hazard Community and Technical College in 2005. During her time in the PTA program, she earned the Clinical Excellence Award for Outstanding Performance. Since 2005, Kelly has worked in a variety of health care settings including home health, acute care, long term care, and outpatient rehabilitation. Her clinical interests are primarily outpatient orthopedics. In her spare time, she enjoys weight training, running, playing basketball and softball, and spending time with her husband and two children.

Ashley Hall

Ashley Hall, PTA

Ashley is originally from Gunlock, Ky and graduated from Magoffin County High School. She earned her Associates in Science Degree and also her Associates in Applied Science in Physical Therapy from Southeast Community College. While in the PTA program, Ashley was awarded the Outstanding Clinical Performance of her class. She has clinical experience in outpatient rehabilitation, acute care, home health and skilled nursing settings.

In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her family.



Linda Scott

Linda Scott, PT Tech

Linda is originally from Harts, West Virginia. She moved to Kentucky in 1981 and has been a Physical Therapy technician since 1985. She has been with the HPT Physical Therapy since 2011. With over 30 years in the field, Linda has been a valuable part of hundreds of patient's outpatient physical therapy experience. Her clinical interests are mainly with pediatrics and she loves getting to witness miracles every day and helping people improve their quality of life. Linda loves staying busy on her time off work and gives all the praise and glory to God for allowing her to find the perfect field where she can be a positive impact on people's lives.
